Sydney Panter

President

Syd started his career in the building materials industry in Australia back in 1965.  Syd moved to Canada where he worked for Georgia Pacific and BlueLinx for 38 Years.  Syd uses his background in business and accounting to oversee all aspects of Panoply Wood Products.

Syd believes in treating customers and suppliers the way he would like to be treated.  In his spare time he enjoys hiking, skiing, jogging, and drinking good wine.

Neville Panter

General Manager / Trader

Neville has been in the industry since 2003.  He attended BCIT where he completed their wood products manufacturing program.  Neville has a wealth of knowledge in the building material industry.  He draws on his experience of time spent working in a cabinet shop, veneer mill and plywood mill to assist him in managing one of Panoply’s largest sales territories.  Along with his sales responsibilities Neville also manages several product categories for Panoply.   When Neville is not at the office he enjoys snowboarding, golf, exercise, music, travel and finding the best new restaurants around town.

Steve Hopson

Branch Manager / Trader

Steve has been part of the building material industry since 2002.  He started in the industry as a sales representative with Sauder Industries (now Metrie) and then moved to BlueLinx Building Products Canada Ltd.  At BlueLinx Steve started as a sales representative and then became Canadian Sales Manager. He finished with BlueLinx as the General Manager of BlueLinx Canada.  We were excited to have Steve join the ownership team at Panoply as Branch Manager and Trader.  Steve has incredible experience in our industry and has many strong relationships with our international vendors.

When Steve is not working he is spending time camping with his wife Alexandra and their twin boys. Steve also enjoys playing hockey and slo-pitch softball in his spare time.

Rick Busch

Trader

Rick started in the wholesale distribution building materials industry back in the early 1960’s.  Rick moved from city to city throughout the prairie provinces of Canada working in both outside sales and management.  Rick then made his way to Vancouver where he worked for Georgia Pacific and BlueLinx for almost 20 years. Rick is excited to be a part of the Panoply team where he can continue to use his many years of industry experience.  When Rick isn’t working he enjoys travel, good wine and playing golf.

Justin Bye

Trader

Justin attended Barton College in North Carolina where he majored in business and sports management. He started in the building materials industry in 2012 with Metrie (formerly Moulding and Millwork / Sauder industries). Along with his responsibilities as a trader Justin is also responsible for managing Panoply’s Ultralite MDF program.   Justin enjoys playing baseball/slo-pitch and squash in his spare time.  When he is not working or on the ball field he can be found enjoying the great outdoors.  He sometimes even catches the odd fish.

David A. Elliott

Ontario Sales Manager / Trader

David began his career in the wholesale building industry back in 1976.  After 10 years with Robert Bury and Co. David moved on to Metric Forest Products (now AFA Forest Products) where he worked as an outside sales representative.

In 2009, David started with BlueLinx Building Products where he worked as the Ontario sales manager for 9 years. In 2016, David jumped at the chance to join the ownership team at Panoply as the Ontario sales manager and trader.

David has very strong relationships with vendors both local and abroad. His excellent customer service and ability to source product makes him a huge asset to the Panoply team.

Outside of work if David isn’t watching sports he is playing a sport. His passions are football, hockey and lacrosse.

Traci Crivici

Accounting Manager

Traci started her career in the building materials Industry in the early 90’s. Traci’s responsibilities at Panoply include the day-to-day operations, accounting, payroll, and general administration for the company. Traci’s positive attitude and attention to details are her greatest strengths. Away from the office Traci’s passions include fashion, gourmet cooking (for her husband and friends) and her newest challenge – running. She feels very lucky to work with the best team ever.

Pamela Belair

Logistics Manager

Pamela started her career in international logistics back in 2006.  She was excited to join the Panoply team as Logistics Manager. Pamela is responsible for arranging all of Panoply’s international container shipments. She does a fantastic job communicating with our vendors and freight forwarders to ensure on-time arrivals. When Pam is not tracking containers, she enjoys spending time with family and friends.
